Previous Strawberry Fests
The 20th annual Sun Prairie Strawberrry Fest was held today, June 16th, 2007, at the Colonial Club Senior Activity Center. It was a beautiful, sunny, hot day with temperatures into the upper eighties.
There was an indoor/outdoor craft fair, a children’s carnival, a used book sale, a Fun Run, breakfast, lunch, and more.
People waited in line for the opportunity to purchase a bowl of Strawberrry Shortcake or waffles covered with strawberries. There also was a a raffle and chance drawing where, for $5 a ticket or 5 tickets for $20, you could purchase a chance to win a drawing for various prizes. Some of the prizes were an autographed Green Bay Packers football, Robin Yount bobble head dolls, Restaurant certificates good for free meals, $100 Wine and Cheese Gift Certificate, Bo Ryan autographed basketball and many other great prizes.
Inside the Colonial Club Senior Activity Center there were many tables covered with delicious, homemade baked goods for sale. Strawberries were also sold by the quart container.
Entertainment was also provided indoors and outdoors.
