The Firemen's Dream Park In The Prairie Organization had an enthusiastic turnout of volunteers to almost complete the construction of the Firemen's Children's Park in the Prairie. Some minor construction is sill going on today, November 3rd, 2007.

The Firemen's Park in the Prairie is Kid designed and community built. Leather's and Associates are known nationally for their unique playground design having designed and directed construction of over 1,600 playgrounds worldwide. They have worked with children in the area and have taken the children's ideas and transformed them into a plan for the new playground. It will be a handicapped accessible playground with a pirate ship, tree forts, fire truck, midget race cars a sea serpent and a large cave. The cave will have a rock climbing wall as its exterior.
