Sample Sun Prairie
July 28th, 2007.
There was a fundraiser today, to raise money for firemen's Park in Sun Prairie. The event took place in Cannery Square located in downtown Sun Prairie. Cannery Square, located across the street from City Hall is a great place to hold such an event. Cannery Square is a nicely kept area with grass criss-crossed with cement walking areas. There are park benches, a fountain water bubblers. Cannery Square is bounded by the City Hall, Offices, Retail stores, restaurants, and apartments. The actual "square" probably is about 80 yards by 40 yards. The square has streets on each side of it, with parking for limited times.
The Sample Sun Prairie Fundraiser featured live music, Magicians, balloon sculpting, face painting, the Country Creek Cloggers, a beer garden and more. Festivities kicked off at noon and continued until 7 o'clock in the evening. Various restaurants set up booths where they sold samples of their dining selections.
Sample Sun Prairie coincided, this year, with the Sun Prairie Maxwell Street Days on Saturday.
