Ice Cream Quarts Are Going, Going, Gone.
Or:
The incredible Shrinking Ice Cream Container
Anyone else notice that Ice Cream Quarts and Half Gallons and Gallons and 5 Quart Pails are disappearing? Now we have 46 ounce or 56 ounce or 140 ounces. You can be sure that the ice cream manufacturers are not going to get stuck in labeling their containers as Quarts or Liters anymore. That makes it very hard to shrink the amount that they are putting into their incredible shrinking ice cream containers. Of course, there is absolutely no inflation as far as the government is concerned. That would make the government look bad and the unwashed masses may want to throw the bums out. Food is not counted towards inflation. (Neither are energy costs.) So, when the price of all the ingredients for Ice Cream goes up and the ice cream makers do not want to raise their prices, they just shrink the amount of ounces that go into the containers and keep the prices reasonably the same.
No inflation here folks. Keep moving.
Ice Cream Containers Are Shrinking. Prices for Ice Cream Are Not Shrinking.
